The portable system built for DTN pairs an RM Young 93500 ResponseOne Pro weather station with a Boltek EFM-100C atmospheric electric field mill. This brings local weather observations and electric field measurements into the same telemetry workflow.

Built to pack, travel, and deploy again
The equipment packs into a rugged Pelican case with fitted foam inserts. At the venue, the team unpacks the case, extends the tripod, and powers on the station. The DTN deployment replaced a setup involving separate loggers and extensive cabling with a system operational in minutes.
Connect observations to your weather workflow
Measured streams readings to live dashboards and connected applications, and preserves historical observations for later analysis. In the DTN deployment, the application combines station telemetry with NOAA observations and private lightning networks. Your sensor selection, update interval, power, and integration requirements are defined around your operation.

- Does the station need venue Wi-Fi?
- The documented portable weather deployment uses LTE cellular connectivity. Coverage at each site still matters, so we discuss connectivity and power requirements when planning your system.
- Can a station replace a meteorologist?
- A station supplies local observations. Interpreting forecasts, lightning information, and operational thresholds is a separate part of the workflow. Measured Weather Consulting provides meteorological consulting and Weather Action Plans alongside field instrumentation.
- Can we use the readings in our own application?
